The historical origins of RCNPP lie in 1959 when a Puerto Pollensa residents group, initiated efforts to create the Club Náutico Puerto Pollensa.
Two years later, on April 23, 1961, a General Assembly under the chairmanship of Mr. Francisco Javier Marichalar and Bruguera, Marquess of Ciria formally established the club with 25 members and so began the club’s construction. The first stone was laid on August 14, 1961.
Further building work lasting 12 months took place 27 years later, with a major expansion and modernization of the Club’s facilities to create much of what members and visitors still enjoy today.
In January 1993, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I granted the titlle of Real Club Náutico.
