RCNPP was founded in 1961 by Mr. Francisco Javier Marichalar and Bruguera, Marquess of Ciria chairmanship. They supported the initiative of 25 founding members, all water sport enthusiasts. Since its inception, canoeing, fishing, scuba diving, sailing dinghy sailing and cruising activities have been pursued. The RCNPP is associated with the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation -RFEV, the Balearic Sailing Federation -FBV and the Association of Yacht Clubs of Baleares.

In addition to the races, the sailing school and canoeing, the club organizes annually other sports and social activities that enjoy wide participation.

Completely modernised, RCNPP held in 2011 the 50th anniversary of its formation.

Set in a prime location on the north coast of Mallorca, the Club offer easy access to the motorway (30 minutes) to the capital Palma (port and airport) and road (10 minutes) to Puerto de Alcúdia (port with sea links).
